The Old Market area is a popular place that caters to the needs of tourists that converge on Siem Reap to visit the ruins of Angkor. The area is known not only for its souvenirs but it is also known for its variety of Cambodian cuisine, and has a number of food stalls which sell a variety of rices, dried fish and pork sausages, vegetables and fruits. Some stalls sell baguettes and spiced frogs, which is believed to be a testimony to French colonialism in the area

The massage areas are nicely decorated, each compartment has its own shower. The staircase is located in the AHA's restaurant, it is not signposted, if in doubt you can ask the staff in the AHA's restaurant.

Budget

Typical Cambodian food stalls can be found just west of Pub street. West of the Sivatha Boulvard are a number of local restaurants, cheaper priced food than in the Pub street. The restaurants offer a good standard of Khmer dishes, pizza, pasta and sandwiches.
