Tháp Rùa or Turtle Tower on Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi, Vietnam.

In the mid-15th century, according to legend, Emperor Ly Thai To used a magical sword to drive the Chinese out of Vietnam. After the war a giant golden turtle took the sword and disappeared into he lake to return the sword to its divine owners. Ho Hoan Kiem means Lake of the Restored Sword.
