Metropolitan Building, Kolkata, India. Built in 1905 the Metropolitan Building was originally home to the Whiteway Laidlaw department store during British rule in India. After independence the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. took ownership, so now it is commonly known as the Metropolitan Building.
